Windows 11 25H2: Microsoft finally addresses performance issues

Windows 11 25H2 is coming soon. After a complicated rollout of Windows 24H2, Microsoft is rolling out a new tool to try to improve performance and fix bugs more efficiently.

Microsoft is trying its best to convince users that Windows 11 is faster and less prone to bugs than Windows 10. But its attempts aren't resonating with the general public. So, after running communication campaigns to promote Windows 11, Microsoft is trying a new strategy: implementing a system that makes Windows 11 truly more reliable than Windows 10. It was just a matter of thinking about it.

Two new builds of Windows 11 have been rolled out to Insiders, on the Dev and Beta channels. These builds include a new performance drop logging system, which should help Microsoft developers better identify and fix slowdown issues that users may experience.

Fewer performance issues with Windows 11 25H2?

“As part of our commitment to improving Windows performance, logs are now collected when your PC experiences slowdowns or sluggishness,” the company explains. “Windows Insider participants are encouraged to provide feedback when they encounter performance issues. Feedback Hub automatically collects these logs, allowing us to identify the root causes of problems more quickly ,” it adds.

Logs are stored locally and are only sent to Microsoft via the Feedback Hub when feedback is submitted. When you report an issue, the company will then have access to accurate data on what actually happened—precise information to more effectively resolve bugs and performance issues.

After recent updates that caused many hiccups, Microsoft is looking to improve the experience and offer stable versions... that actually are. We can hope that Windows 11 25H2 , the next major update of the OS, expected in a few months, will experience fewer setbacks than Windows 11 24H2 at its launch. The stakes are high for Microsoft, which will end support for Windows 10 around the same time as the availability of Windows 11 25H2.
